Bushman Sands Golf Course

...aka Bushman Sands International Airport...

While flying his veteran Ercoupe aircraft from Pearston en-route to Port Alred a Mr David Smith ran into turbulent weather and started running out of fuel...the best spot to land - why, the Bushman Sands Golf Course's perfectly manicured fairways (lucky for him the groundsman didn't chase him off the course). Bar 10 stitches in the nose and a broken front wheel there were no serious damages.

Well done to Gary Player on unknowingly designing a multi-use golf course! Foreigners please note - this is not a standard flight route in South Africa!
